Overview of Dubai Safari Park

Dubai Safari Park is a world-class zoological park that spans over 119 hectares and is home to around 3,000 animals from various parts of the world. The new and improved Dubai Safari Park features five main attractions, including the African Village, Asian Village, Arabian Desert Safari, Explorer Village and Adventure Valley. These attractions offer visitors a chance to learn about different animal species, their habitats, and conservation efforts. Additionally, the park's free-roaming areas allow visitors to observe animals in a natural environment, while standout attractions such as the Safari Journey and Kids Farm offer unique experiences for all ages.

History Behind Dubai Safari Park

Dubai Safari Park replaced the original Dubai Zoo, which was established in 1967 and housed a limited number of animals including big cats, monkeys, and hoofed-animals. Over time, the Dubai Zoo became renowned for its breeding of Arabian Wildcat and rare chimpanzees. However, the outdated facilities of the Dubai Zoo prompted the government to construct a new, more modern park that would provide better living conditions for the animals and a more educational and interactive experience for visitors.

Dubai Safari Park
Inception and Construction

Dubai Safari Park's inception in 2012 marked the commencement of a remarkable journey. While intended to open its gates in 2016, the park's debut was postponed due to extreme heat and intricate logistics in importing rare animals, culminating in its unveiling in late 2017. The delay was essential to ensure impeccable standards were met. The meticulous development underwent extensive revisions and meticulous planning, facilitating the seamless transition of nearly 1000 animals to their new abode. Executed through 12 well-defined phases, the park's structure encompasses four distinct sections: Africa, Asia, Arabia, and an expansive open safari area, each offering a distinctive and immersive encounter for visitors to savor.
